Panasonic AJ-HD1200A is the world's first and only production-quality high-definition video player and recorder with available IEEE 1394 (FireWire) interface. This deck offers full resolution (1920 x 1080) and 8-bit video compression.
High Def Recording and Multiple DV Playback options
In addition to playing and recording DVC PRO HD (high definition), the AJ-HD 1200A also plays back the standard definition formats of DVC PRO 50, DVC PRO, DVCAM, and Mini DV*. This wide range of playback options, combined with its ability to record in DVC PRO HD, makes the deck a versatile player and VTR.

The AJ-HD 1200A comes with 8 channels of Audio, featuring 48 kHz, 16-bit sound.
Other Perks
Like Panasonic's AJHD 3700, down conversion from high definition to standard definition can take place right inside the deck.
The AJ-HD 1200A's light weight and D.C. powering enables it to operate as an in-field High Def editor and viewer. The deck's Firewire Interface makes it ideal for use with Apple's Final Cut Pro HD editing system.

The AJ-SD93 records in the increasingly popular DVCPRO or DVCPRO50 digital formats using 8-bit component video. The DVC PRO format, with its excellent price/performance ratio and capacity to faultlessly convert from 30 frames to 24P, is considered a favorite by many industry professionals.
Also included with the AJ-SD93 are analog composite and component outputs, enabling easy transfers to non-digital formats.
